These terms cover Accessibility Checker & Report, a browser extension made by Zennel, and the zennel.dev website that distributes it. By installing or using the extension, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. What Accessibility Checker & Report is
Accessibility Checker & Report is a browser extension that checks a web page against automated accessibility rules and, in the paid version, produces a report.
Accessibility Checker & Report is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Automated accessibility testing finds roughly a third of real accessibility problems. A report from Accessibility Checker & Report is a record of what the automated checks found. It is not a certificate of compliance with the ADA, the European Accessibility Act, WCAG, or any other law or standard, and it should not be presented as one.
2. Free and Pro
The free version lets you scan the page you are on and see a summary. Pro is a one-time purchase of US$19 that unlocks the complete list of findings and report export. Pro is not a subscription: there is nothing to renew and nothing recurring to cancel.
A Pro license key may be activated on up to three devices. You can deactivate a device from inside the extension to free a slot.
3. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Accessibility Checker & Report on the number of devices your license allows. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the extension or your license key, and you may not remove or obscure any notices in it.
The extension bundles axe-core, which is licensed separately under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. That license continues to apply to axe-core.
4. Refunds
If Accessibility Checker & Report is not what you expected, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. We would rather give the money back than keep a customer who is unhappy with the tool.
5. Payments
Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as merchant of record. Creem is the seller of record for your purchase, issues your receipt, and handles applicable taxes. Your use of Creem's checkout is also subject to Creem's own terms.
6. What you may not do
- Use Accessibility Checker & Report on systems you are not authorised to test. Scanning a page you have no permission to access may breach other people's terms or the law — that is your responsibility, not ours.
- Reverse engineer the license check, share a license key, or bypass activation limits.
- Present Accessibility Checker & Report output as a legal compliance certification, or as a substitute for professional advice.
7. Availability and changes
Accessibility Checker & Report is a small piece of software provided as-is. Features may change, and automated rules change over time as axe-core is updated. If we ever discontinue Pro licenses, existing activated licenses keep working for the version they were activated on.
8. No warranty
Accessibility Checker & Report is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, that automated checks are complete, or that any particular accessibility issue will or will not be detected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Accessibility Checker & Report is limited to the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or the cost of substitute services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Accessibility Checker & Report after an update means you accept the updated terms.
